Our research focuses on diabetes and consequences of the disease such as diabetic nerve diseases, for example diabetic polyneuropathy. Our main focus is to promote findings in the field of vitamins, minerals and trace elements. The active ingredient benfotiamine, for example, was developed by our company founder Dr. Fritz Wörwag into a milestone in the therapy of diabetic comorbidities. With its high bioavailability, benfotiamine makes an important contribution to protecting against vitamin B1 deficiency.
