Rather than holding a topping-out ceremony, in view of the corona restrictions the management of Wörwag Pharma has decided to show its employees in Böblingen the shell of the building in group tours.

The topping-out ceremony was officially opened at 10:30 a.m. with the topping-out speech by the craftsmen and speeches by Monika Wörwag, Managing Director, and Uli Kälber, Managing Director of Gottlob Rommel. Afterwards, around 180 employees of the Böblingen headquarters were able to get to know the new building between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. in guided groups - at a distance and along defined building routes.

Questions of the participants could thus be put directly to the construction professionals, both to the construction management of Gottlob Rommel and the project management of Gassmann and Grossmann.

Since the start of construction in October 2019, the building envelope and the installation of the building services have already been largely completed. Even though the interior work is still in full swing, all floors could be visited. The Wörwag Pharma staff was thus able to gain an impression of the entire building and 'inspect' their future offices.

The office and administration building with a usable office space of approximately 6,500 square meters on six full floors and two underground parking levels was designed by willwersch Architekten Stuttgart. The high-quality equipment includes a curtain-type metal facade and a curtain-type ceramic facade on the first floor.

The building is tempered by extensive cooling and heating metal ceilings and heated by district heating. The company building is equipped with WLAN throughout the building, charging stations for electric cars and a photovoltaic system. It has a representative entrance area with a visitor lounge and a vitality bar as a catering service for employees and guests.

Monika Wörwag, Managing Director: "We are pleased to be able to show our employees their future workplace despite Corona. The construction is making very good progress thanks to the excellent cooperation of all those involved under the management of Gottlob Rommel. It will most likely be completed as planned in 2021".
