The coveted decoration awards scientific work on the clinical applications of biofactors.This year’s winner:

Prof. Vedat Schwenger of the Nephrology Department at the Hospital of Heidelberg made groundbreaking experimental examinations that might benefit nephritic diseases.

On the occasion of a scientific symposium which was part of the 45^th  annual German Diabetic Association 2010 Convention in Stuttgart, the chairman of the jury, Prof. em. Dr. Drs. h.c. Konrad Federlin ceremoniously delivered together with Wörwag’s founder, Dr. Fritz Wörwag, the research award to Prof. Schwenger.

Schwenger emphasized his delight about the award that – l verbatim -"stands for scientific reputation and reputable research”.
